Prayers of a Righteous Person

Proverbs 15:8, 29

When we pray as God's people, God hears us. He especially delights in the prayers of those who walk uprightly, in contrast with the hypocrisy of the wicked. There are three proverbs that tell us this:

• Proverbs 15:8 says, "The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
• Proverbs 15:29 is an echo. It says, "The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous."
• Proverbs 28:9 says, "One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination." 

God loves the prayers of His righteous people.
